( she waggles her hand with a soft "eeeeehn?" before shrugging. )
As a Wellspring, magic seeps out of me like no other- just an endless source of it. But its going to be attuned to my affinity regardless of what I do, so... it was worse when I was a kid. I couldn't even go near a road without causing breaks to snap and gears to bend. I'm better at reigning it in now, but things still leak out, you know? Part of why I was leader for my squadron was to personally ensure that I could account for any little thing my mere presence could make go wrong.
I see. So the issue, in summary, is that you lack control — in a non-offensive way, [to clarify,] and that you have an overabundance of it. These are solvable conundrums, given time.
What does your regimen look like in terms of practising control over your Arts?
cw implied child abuse how does this keep happening wolfie
... When I was a child I was put under forced solitary confinement- both in restricting me to my bedroom, and then in an actual solitary confinement chamber later on. Mistakes- letting anything out was met... violently. So, you learn to keep it in. Let it out in trickles and small streams, little bursts. Like turning a faucet, or something like that. Except to keep the faucet off I have to have hold of the knobs at all times.
Arts users can cast without an Arts unit, but it puts a heavy strain on their body. I draw the comparison because, to my eyes, the situation is not dissimilar in its entirety. Were we to continue using the faucet analogy, you can think of an Arts unit as a seal to stop the excess water from leaking. Think of it as caulking a drain, in a way.
Some Arts users are able to store their excess magic to release it in bursts later, when it's needed. [Thinking of Indigo's staff... hums.] A unit geared toward that may be more beneficial to you.

( sips tea. its not like he's wrong. her control is comparatively awful. but she's going to outlast other misfortune aligned witches. she has to.
she's not dying at 21. )
... If you think it's worth a shot, I'll give it a try.
